I ran into this issue with trying to reinstall my paid-for ATI Upgrade. The installer kept asking for the serial number of the previous product. So, at least as far as ATI Upgrade is concerned, its installer didn’t see any qualifying installed product Maxblast in this case for the upgrade to automatically install using just the serial number provided when you purchased the upgrade. Thus, if you previously had Maxblast or similar program installed Seagate provided a similar program with their hard disks but that program no longer is present and you can’t reinstall it for lack of the CD which came with your hard drive, then you will not be able to reinstall your paid-for ATI Upgrade unless you first reinstall Maxblast or the equivalent Seagate drive cloning software.

Anyway, try installing MaxBlast, reboot, and then see if you can run the ATI installer without it asking you for a previous serial number. So I email on december 3rd sav microapp. True Image accept my licence number and it works with it since i bought it.

Besides asking for the serial number, which I have on my order form, it also asked for the serial number of the product from which I had upgraded. This is rather strange, as I upgraded from Seagate Disk Wizard, which is another Acronis product given away for free by Seagate. So I chatted to both companies and got no answers. How old are you? Does it matter? Age is extremely important in our society. I can cite many circumstances legally, where a person can not participate in many activities due to age and if they do. In some circumstances it would be considered a crime like , drinking alcohol for example. So age does matter. I’m reasonably sure that it was in a mid build of TI11 that the serial number information was removed though it is back in I appreciate it Bodgy but it’s not necessary Bodgy. I’ve vented and at least I had the pleasure of a response from somebody who took an interest.

I suppose I could’t have vented my frustration about Acronis if you hadn’t. I’ve googled it with no luck and it appears even Tech Support doesn’t know or should I say “hasn’t been trained in it” or at least that’s what the male in India said. I’m probably going to look for something compatible to TI. You know as well as I that some other criminals will decompile it or already have decompiled it and will rebuild it as their own.

I dont no what is hapenend but there’s no number, what is yuor advise, buy a full version? I just checked builds 9, though 9, not including 9, and none of them display the serial number. If you registered TI in your Acronis account, you should be able to get the serial number from there.

I uninstalled the software and reinstalled with the download from acronis site. But it is asking me for the “old SN” and I’ve never upgraded it never had that problem before.
